Started work on HWDN today, cleaning up layout, reverted to XHTML 1.0 Strict, adding new pages, adding custom error pages, making a header image and navigation and generally improving the site. Thought about reusing the old HWDUDN (Hellwrath.ubersource.net) layout from 2007, although probably won't. Oh yeah, ads have returned, courtesy of Google, I have decided on having one large graphical ad at the bottom of each page and am pretty sure it doesn't spoil the site too much, I'm hoping the ads will bring in at least a few pence that can go towards funding my hosting for HWDN and my other sites.

So, yesterday I got round to reinstalling 'Carmageddon 2: Carpocalypse Now' on my W2K machine, to my dismay however, I had trouble running the game, when starting the carma2.exe launcher it gave me the options of either 'Direct Draw Software' or 'Direct 3D' with '3DFX (Glide)' greyed out, I tried Direct 3D, the game loaded up and I started the race, I think the graphics were terrible, very low res, worse was to come, after about 3 minutes, the game froze and annoyingly I had to reboot my PC.

Next, I figured there would be a patch, so I went to the SCI Games page and downloaded the Carmageddon 2 patch. Anyway this didn't help much, so to cut a long story short I have now got Carmageddon 2 running on my Windows 2000 machine in high resolution using Glidewrapper, after installing it, I could then run the launcher as usual, select '3DFX (Glide)' and lo and behold - I was playing Carmageddon 2 in glorious 1280x960 resolution! Take a look at the screenshot below and see for yourself! What a game!

Ahhhh, I love the taste of pwnage in the morning, well that and freshly poured Jack Daniels to the sound of 'The Cult', anyway 53th Matthse, this blog post is about YOU! I was pwning away in Karkand, backed up by my good colleague fishmeister, you know, owning away at the Cement Factory with my RPK, and boom, I take out this "53th" bag of douche from a mile away with one RPK shot, and what does the fucker do? Yeah that's right! He starts a kickvote! A kickvote against [SMEG]Hellwrath on his home server of =EAF= !!!! This will not stand!

This douchebag should also note that his clan tag should read "53rd", not "53th"!!! What a douche! Anyway, good to see TomFoster on later in the game, as always he pwned and provided great support and AIDs to team SMEG, you'll want him on your side in a BF2 match! Hey guys, it's been a while since my last entry, I know, I would like to say I've been extremely busy, but that would be a lie, in fact I've been fantastically lazy, although I woke up before at around 12 and thought I should get to work on HWDN. I have been neglecting the site, and I need to pay it more attention, as you can see I've made some adjustments already, I'm hoping to actually make it look quite nice by the end of it, I just need to stick with it and try and juggle my time between this and my other projects and sites.

On the todo list is a navigation, comments for blog entries, links page, admin pages to add/edit/delete blogs and some BF2 related stats with a leaderboard of the BF2 players I know and love from EAF, uKm and beyond, so watch this space! I've just had some cereal, it's 2:53 and I'm considering going back to bed, I''ve not had much sleep lately and my sleep pattern has been all wrong. Oh yeah, it's Friday which means beer and BF2 tonight, so expect some drunken rantings later on, but for now goodnight!
