Sat here writhing in agony with my neck and back, but anyway, it's been a while, been really busy... well not really. This evening I was playing BF2 and was having usual lag problems and for some reason, I decided to try it in single player in very high res, 1280x1024 in fact, I was surprised to see the game run quite well and looked great, so I had a thought, maybe my recent problems with BF2 aren't necessarily hardware related... sooo I launched the server browser and found a low ping Karkand server - Super Infantry Clan, the game loaded no problem and to my utter amazement the game was running... not just running, but was running better than I have ever had it running, great hitreg, nice graphics (bear in mind from the screenshot below I hadn't turned anti-aliasing on). In other news, my application for a Flex Builder 3 licence was accepted, thank you Adobe! Also, I may very possibly be joining EAF... Speaking of BF2, I'm just 4000 points away from ranking up to Sergeant Major! Soon I will have crossed the 30k gap, and after that, just 10k points later is my butter bar (2nd lieutenant)! Codeined up now to the eyeballs, I'll leave you with the news that I am considering changes to HWDN, including making a nice new design and adding a BF2 leaderboard module to the main page. Oh yeah - I'm getting rid of AdSense for HWDN, it's just not economically viable and it screws up my HTML validity!

Ahhhh, I love the taste of pwnage in the morning, well that and freshly poured Jack Daniels to the sound of 'The Cult', anyway 53th Matthse, this blog post is about YOU! I was pwning away in Karkand, backed up by my good colleague fishmeister, you know, owning away at the Cement Factory with my RPK, and boom, I take out this "53th" bag of douche from a mile away with one RPK shot, and what does the fucker do? Yeah that's right! He starts a kickvote! A kickvote against [SMEG]Hellwrath on his home server of =EAF= !!!! This will not stand!

This douchebag should also note that his clan tag should read "53rd", not "53th"!!! What a douche! Anyway, good to see TomFoster on later in the game, as always he pwned and provided great support and AIDs to team SMEG, you'll want him on your side in a BF2 match! It's 05:00 as I write this. I have just brushed my teeth and I am ready for bed, no sign of rtk tonight, had a good game in BF2 in uKm before and EAF earlier this evening. I am so near my goal of 30,000 points I can smell it, although I still neeed 50,000 before I can reach my next rank.

By the way, had four 1664s tonight, the normal kind, not the widget sort, anyway, earlier this evening I completed leg #3 of my epic around the world trip in X-Plane. I flew in my trusty King Air B350 from Mont-Joli, Quebec, Canada to Schefferville, Quebec, Canada. I'll tell you, the weather was fucking awful, I'm amazed I got down in one piece, it's damn good to be in the comfort of my hut now, although the locals don't speak much English.... anywaaaaay, my target is to get to Nuuk, Greenland soon, then it will hopefully be plain, or should that be 'plane' sailing to Reykjavik and then onto the Faroe Islands and the UK!

Erm, in other news, well there's not much else to report except that I now have 43 things to be getting on with and that's about it, I'm very lazy at the moment, apart from the X-Plane stuff, I'm doing very little, I hope the other guy sorts me out, anyway, quite drunk here and desperately in need of sleep, bye for now!

Anyway, got some 1664s in for tonight, hoping to enjoy some BF2, music and general chillage! Was on EAF before with Embed101, JinHit and the others, damn GG guys, very close to my 30,000 goal now, I can almost smell it! Argh I'm already adding inline CSS bad, bad, bad, still, there's much to be done, I need to think out how I'm going to deal with images in blog posts, I mean images are vital but I want to be able to upload images and not worry about resizing, I might use a PHP script to generate resized images on the fly, I think I'll also have a look at Mootools and those other JavaScript kits to add a bit of functionality to the site and have those cool 'Lyteboxes' when viewing images.

That reminds me, this site will only use JPEG and PNG images - no GIFs! Just having a nice cuppa, some home-made biscuits and quite possibly a packet of Flamin' Hot Monster Munch in a minute, an episode of Father Ted is on BBC 2 at 11, yes, Father Ted on BBC 2, it's being aired in tribute to producer and writer Geoffrey Perkins who died in August.
